On Friday June 7, local nonprofit Dawson County Family Connection will hold its annual “Celebrity Waiter” fundraiser, geared toward helping make a positive impact on children and families in Dawson County. Here’s what to know about the upcoming fundraiser.
The “Celebrity Waiter” breakfast is scheduled to take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on June 7 at Dawson County’s Longhorn Steakhouse. During the event, local “celebrities”, who are people from across the county who have been nominated by others in the community, will serve customers a delicious meal, all in the name of raising money for the nonprofit.
This year’s current list of “celebrities” who will be participating in the breakfast include Alexa Bruce, Alexandria Williams, Amanda Sheffield, Andrew Grigsby, Carol Tyger, Jessica Grigsby, Joanna Evans, John Shaffer, Justin Mitchell, Lee Rogers, Matt Payne, Melissa Rich, Pepper Pettit, Rachel Burton, Sandy Sawyer and Scott Yochum.
Tickets for the breakfast are just $15 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door on the day of the event. Early bird tickets purchased before May 31 include a free entry into a gift card drawing. Local businesses and organizations can also pre-order delivery for their group.
